I Really Need To Blog More Often

This is crazy! I can't believe the last time I updated my blog was in July, although you know what they say about good girls keeping diaries and bad girls not having the time.... Sadly I would say that is not true. In fact I have just been really busy with work and the other minor details of life.

So Just to update what has happened since July, I have found a few more favorite things, my Willow Tree collection being the only favorite thing I am going to blog about. New Zealand won the Rugby World Cup and I am not going to argue the "Australia vs South Africa" debacle because we all know NZ was the best team.... Yes yes they were lovely and congratulations to the ABs but Bokke, you boys are still world class to me.  Steve Jobs died and so did Dennis Richie, yet I believe we are so apple marketed that no one realises the significance of Dennis Richie (google or Wiki him and you will realise how instrumental he was to almost everything we do on the web)

Royal weddings, someone else died and I had a  lovely Chrismas and was completely spoiled. I have also started a new work project that is insanely massive and to be honest I get a bit scared every so often because of the magnitude of what I am doing but I am lucky to be surrounded by amazing people at work who have full faith in me and believe I am something of a Venus.

I have five days to draft up a project plan for some system implementations at work...... any advice would be awesome.... :D New Years Eve... my dream is to be in Camden at  The Electric Ballroom, somehow I think I am going to end up at home drinking Champers and eating strawberries whilst watching that speckly bloke Alan Carr instead..... So if anyone is going off to Camden.....  xxx

Dragons, Burgers, Fake Cigarettes and Snuff

So today I am a little bit excited about three things. Firstly lets start off with A Dance With Dragons, I was given the book Game Of Thrones a few years ago and was hooked. For some reason I struggled to find the second book and was really excited when I was given the second book, A Clash Of Kings as a gift, from the same person. I am now busy reading the fifth novel, A Feast For Crows and have not wanted to finish it because I didn't want to have to wait six months or longer for the last (I hope not) novel titled A Dance With Dragons.

The long wait is over, as of the 12th of July, A Dance With Dragons has been available from Waterstonesand Amazon.co.uk. All I can say is... AWESOME!!!! For anyone who has not read the books, read them, they are amazing. It just surprises me at how your favorite character changes from book to book although I have honestly been madly in love with Tyrion from the beginning.

Since it is a Saturday (yes, how embarrassing, its a Saturday evening and I am tucked in front of the T.V watching Only Fools and ordering take out) and I am not up to cooking, I have been looking around for a local take out that I could enjoy, enter.. Nandos! Yay!  Anyway, the reason I am so excited about the Nando's site is that they have the Eat Well section where it tells you exactly how much bad stuff you are eating, it gives you a calorie count along with how much protein, carbs and salts you are taking in, so now I know that it's ok to have the Beanie burger as long as I have the leafy salad as a side.  The cool thing about this feature on the site is that Nando's is pretty much the same in the UK and S.A (apart from the fact that I can have Halloumi on my burger in the UK) so you can really use the UK site to help you make a healthier choice regardless of where you are.

A little something for the smokers: As a horrible smelly, stinky smoker who has been trying to give up since the beginning of time, I am tired of struggling with the giving up process and all the stress and tears and complete frustration so with the rise in new fangled....thingies I feel that there is really no reason to carry on smoking so I have bitten the bullet again (it's really starting to hurt!) and try something new in the long line of crutches I have tried in the past. The Electronic Cigarette from Amazon is my first choice, mainly because of the price and even though it is disposable and I will have to buy a new one each month I just felt that with my dismal track record I would start with something on the lower price range. I will keep you updated.

I am ending this entry with something that makes me feel all warm and nostalgic, even though it is something new, the author has a very special place in my heart, Sir Terry Pratchett. Now anyone who has survived the grunge side of the 90's will understand the sentiment.  Well the magician is back with a new novel in the Disc World series entitled Snuff. Due to be released on the 13th of October it gives me something to look forward to and because I like to share the love, I am definitely buying extra copies as Christmas stocking fillers. Although I bet a few of you were interested in this because you thought Snuff was something completely different... Dirty dirty!
